The Complete Guide to the ABS Conference 2026

ABS Conference 2026 is a two-day national breast surgery meeting at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow for surgeons, breast surgery trainees, nurses, radiologists, pathologists, oncologists, allied health professionals and researchers. The programme spans clinical service delivery, recurrent and long-term outcomes after breast cancer treatment, inequalities in breast care, oncoplastic training, in-situ and high-risk lesions, implant-based reconstruction, lifestyle medicine, next-generation oncology and guideline debates. It includes submitted papers, prize papers, a Mammary Fold session, poster viewing, author-attended poster sessions, video abstracts, exhibition education and invited lectures.

For research-minded trainees, the meeting has a strong presentation route: posters are displayed in Hall 4A, there are submitted paper sessions on both days, a prize paper session, a Mammary Fold poster prize session and video abstracts. The 2026 abstracts are published in the European Journal of Surgical Oncology, which gives accepted work a citable specialty outlet. Registration closed on 29 May 2026. Published fees include late rates of £660 for non-member consultant/SAS doctors, £450 for non-member trainees or retired doctors, £350 for member trainees/retired doctors and £110 for Foundation Year trainees; early-bird non-member consultant/SAS registration was £560 until 4 May. The conference is CPD accredited for 12 points and includes receptions, an annual dinner, exhibition access, refreshments and lunch on both days.
