Unanswered questions in inpatient diabetes: future directions for care and research
The JBDS-IP Inpatient Diabetes Conference 2026 is a full-day national meeting at The Grand Hotel, Leicester. It is designed for the diabetes multidisciplinary team, including doctors, diabetes specialist nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, psychologists and allied health professionals. The programme covers a JBDS-IP year in review, GIRFT, inpatient safety, accreditation, the National Diabetes Audit, new JBDS-IP guidelines, VRIII, hospital diabetes technology, inpatient CGM, pumps and automated insulin delivery, PREM, steroid-induced hyperglycaemia, and international research. Delegates rotate through three workshops on safe discharge, technology in hospital and perioperative diabetes care. JBDS-IP is inviting abstracts on innovations and interventions in inpatient diabetes care, including projects with setbacks or challenges, with posters and exhibition time built into the programme.
