LabMedUK26 is the Association for Laboratory Medicine national meeting, running at The Eastside Rooms in Birmingham from 8 to 10 June 2026. The programme covers laboratory medicine and healthcare science across analytical practice, digital technologies, sustainability, leadership, patient-centred care, award lectures, clinical case sessions, workshops and training days. It is aimed at clinical scientists, consultants, heads of department, directors, trainees, NHS laboratory staff, industry and academic attendees across biochemistry, immunology, microbiology and virology.
Abstract submission is a major route into the meeting. Poster abstracts must be submitted by 09:00 on 20 February 2026 through Oxford Abstracts. Submitters can ask to be considered for conference prizes, the Clinical Case Oral Presentation, the Medal Award and the lunchtime Poster Showcase. Accepted poster abstracts are published in the conference proceedings in the Annals of Clinical Biochemistry, and accepted presenters must register and attend their allocated poster session. RCPath has approved the main 9-10 June meeting for 11 CPD credits. Ticket information lists non-member two-day registration at £630 and member two-day registration at £475, with one-day and training-day options also available. Early-bird pricing ends on 20 April 2026. The Eastside Rooms is a central Birmingham conference venue with accessible facilities, and the event encourages public transport use.
