The Surgical Research Society Annual Meeting 2027 is aimed at surgeons, academic surgical trainees and researchers with an interest in surgical science across specialties. The official meeting page states that SRS2027 will run on 7 and 8 January 2027 at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in Lincoln's Inn Fields, London. The programme details available so far are sparse, but the page confirms trainee research oral presentations competing for the Patey Prize, the Farndon Lecture from Professor Alan Dardik, a Hunterian Lecture from Professor Rob Sayers and a black-tie meeting dinner in the College Library. Abstract submission is open via Oxford Abstracts, but the linked submission route requires sign-in, so the public page does not show a deadline, categories, full presentation rules or publication outcome. The meeting page says the event will have RCS CPD approval, though no number of points is stated. Registration fees and booking deadlines are not visible on the public meeting page at this stage. For a junior doctor, the strongest visible value is the chance to present surgical research orally at a national society meeting, hear named senior academic surgeons and build contacts around the annual dinner and society programme.
